Your essential holday checklist, courtesy of Your Holiday Directory. Your Holiday Directory has compiled a short summary of holiday essentials to help you remember all the important things you are likely to need for a stress-free trip. We hope you find this checklist useful. We would suggest that you print this sheet out and check it prior to leaving for your holiday. HAND LUGGAGE - Passports
- Flight tickets
- Keys (or arrangement of access ) for the accommodation
- Directions and map to the accommodation
- Hire car vouchers/details
- Driving Licences
- Travel Insurance documents (including your EHIC card)
- Cash (local currency/Country currency)
- Credit Cards
- Traveller's cheques (take a note of reference numbers and keep separate from the cheques themselves)
- Medication/Doctors note
- Travel sickness remedies
- Glasses/Contact lens and solutions
- Camera
- Haibrush/Comb
- Jewellery
- Sunglasses

- Books/magazine for the plane

We would also suggest that you take photocopies of all important documents such as your passport, driving licence, etc and keep them separate from the originals. Sending postcards? Tedious? Not any more! Your Holiday Directory suggests that you input all names and addresses on a spreadsheet on your PC. Before you go on holiday, print them out onto labels. - First aid kit/vitamins/stomach upset, hangover remedies
CHECKLIST FOR YOUR HOME
- Ensure your pets are looked after for the duration of your holiday
- Cancel newspapers and milk
- Activate your alarm
- Leave a key with someone you can trust
- Tell your neighbours you are going on holiday and to keep an eye out for you
- Make sure anyone you give keys to knows how to work your alarm
- Lock all doors and windows
- Ask your neighbour/friend to remove your post and free newspapers regularly
- Unplug all electrical appliances, except your freezer
- Ensure your vehicles are safely parked and locked
- Activate any timer switches on lighting
- Leave a contact number with a responsible person in the event of emergencies
