"Casa de Fortuna" (House of Good Fortune) is a new luxury 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa in Faro Park, Playa Blanca in the south-west tip of Lanzarote. It was completed in Spring 2004 and is situated in a quiet residential area and very close to the coast. To the side of the property there is a private parking area. It is ideal for families who are looking for a really relaxing holiday and offers the tranquillity that is not readily found in the built-up established tourist resorts such as Puerto Del Carmen and Costa Teguise.
The villa has been fitted with charming shutters with integral mosquito nets to ensure a cool and "peaceful" night's sleep! Fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard, the interior of the villa offers classic Spanish architecture with its combination of granite and marble tiling throughout, providing stunning results and a cool airy feeling. The private, heated pool is set in a large, tiled sun terrace with four luxurious sunloungers. There is also a shaded dining area with large teak dining table and comfortable padded seats overlooking the garden. The villa has ample exterior lighting and this is an ideal area for an evening meal and a large glass of wine! There is also a circular teak table and four chairs overlooking the swimming pool - great for having lunch at whilst keeping a careful eye on the children in the pool. A Canarian cream coloured wall around the perimeter of the property provides privacy. Guests can also enjoy the beautiful garden which has been very well-stocked with mature local trees such as palms, banana tree, fruit trees, birds of paradise plants and shrubs such as yucca, hibiscus, adelphus, bougainvillea, cactus and aloe vera, etc.

Car hire is strongly recommended for your stay as there are so many lovely sights to see and places to go to all over the island which are easier to reach in a car. It only takes about 90 minutes to drive from the south of the island to the north! Also, the roads are of a good quality which makes for easy driving.

The en-suite master bedroom has a king-size, double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds with room for a high quality 'Z'-bed for the 5th guest.
Both bedrooms have extensive, fully-fitted teak wardrobes providing ample storage for all your possessions.

The ensuite bathroom to the main bedroom has a bath, shower, basin and toilet. The basin is set in solid marble and there is plenty of space to lay out all your toiletries, make-up, etc. The second bathroom has a large walk-in shower, basin and toilet and, again, the basin is set in solid marble with plenty of space for all your toiletries. There is a safe in the second bathroom for your passports and all your valuables.
The generously proportioned lounge area has two beautiful leather sofas, coffee table, side table, magazine rack and is equipped with Satellite TV - Sky Freeview including ITV, video, dvd and hi-fi, making it a lovely area to relax in at the end of the day. There is also a breakfast bar with bar stools.
A selection of dvd's, videos and cd's have been provided for your use - these can be found in a basket by the TV and under the side table by the settee - although you may wish to take along a few of your own favourites. There is also a selection of books for you to read, games to play and cards, etc.

There is also an outside utility room with automatic washing machine and some pool toys for your use. There is also a box of toys for your children to play with.

A charming open archway spans a solid teak breakfast bar opening onto a fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops. There is a dishwasher, oven, ceramic hobs, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. Everything you could possibly need if you wish to self-cater, although we can assure you that the temptation to sample the local restaurants is irresistible!!
You have the choice of either eating at the large outside dining table or at the teak table overlooking the swimming pool.
External facilities
:
The villa has its own private, electrically heated swimming pool. It measures approximately 8 metres by 4 metres and is around 1.7 metres deep in the centre. Access to the pool is via roman steps. There is a solar pool cover which should be in place all the time when the pool is not in use as it increases the water temperature by as much as 8 degrees! The pool has the benefit of underwater lighting for that warm swim at dusk while the BBQ slowly cooks your evening meal. The pool is serviced twice a week to ensure that the water is always in peak condition.
There are four high quality sun-beds provided for your use on the terrace around the pool as well as a circular teak table with four chairs for that casual lunch and glass of wine.
There is also a beautiful garden which has been fully-stocked with some lovely palm trees, shrubs, cacti and flowers, etc.

We are pleased to provide a "welcome pack" upon your arrival which is free of charge and contains all the necessary items for the start of your holiday such as milk, bread, butter, cheese, biscuits, bottled water and a bottle of wine to help you relax after your journey.

Yes. Our facilities are child friendly. Whilst we consider our accommodation to be child friendly, good parental supervision should be shown at all times. A small children's table and chairs is provided for the younger guests should it be needed. Any additional baby/young children’s equipment can be hired at a small additional charge.

There are 2 new golf courses shortly to be constructed very close by (3 minute drive) at Montana Roja. These are due to be completed in 2008. In the meantime, the nearest golf courses are to be found at Tias and Costa Teguise.

The rugged coastline is only a 2 minute walk away from the villa and a 2 minute walk the other way leads you to a small parade of shops with a supermarket, 3 restaurants, a small bar and 2 patisserie/bakeries, etc. The nearest bank is in Playa Blanca which is about a 5 minute drive away. Two top class golf courses are planned to be completed nearby in 2008. The new Marina Rubicon which is only about 10 minutes drive away is bursting with restaurants and shops and there are some fine boats to admire whilst you sit and relax at the waters edge. There are plenty of leisure activities too. e.g. walking, cycling, horse riding, camel rides, wind-surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, parascending, jet ski-ing, banana boats, etc.

Booking Notes
There is a booking deposit of 40%, which is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. If there are 8 weeks or less to the holiday, payment must be made in full, plus a £100 damage liability bond which is refundable upon your return. If there are more than 8 weeks to the start of the holiday, payment of the 40% deposit must be made. The balance of the payment plus the damage liability bond must then be paid no later than 8 weeks from the start of the holiday.
Prices shown are for 2 people sharing per week. Additional persons, up to a maximum of 5, are charged at an additional £50 per person per week. The 5th person will only be charged an extra £30 for use of a high quality 'Z'-bed.
