Beachdown Holiday Chalets is a holiday park of self catering detached cedar wood chalets situated in Challaborough Bay in the beautiful South Hams area of Devon, the most southerly part of the United Kingdom, just a few minutes walk from Bigbury on Sea and Burgh Island.
The chalets nestle within a private & level site of over two and a half acres and just a 200 yard walk away from the superb coastline.
Most of our chalets are pet friendly and some have small enclosed gardens to help your dog enjoy there stay as well.
Our guests be it two legged or four enjoy access both to the nearby award winning beaches, costal paths as well as many local attractions.
Be it a full weeks Holiday or a Short Break, active or leisurely we look forward to being able to welcome you to Beachdown soon!

Special Notes
Child Friendly: Yes. Our facilities are child friendly. Whilst we consider our accommodation to be child friendly, good parental supervision should be shown at all times.
Pets Allowed: Yes. Pets are welcome. Pets are also welcome for a small weekly charge and all of our gardens have been fenced with this is mind. Please ask for these when booking a holiday for your dog. At the top of the site, up some steps, there is also a large pet exercise area. We do ask the following: all dogs to remain on a lead in the lower chalet area. There is no fouling on site (Bins are provided for those little mistakes).
Noteworthy Features: Divers & Boat Owners are welcome to store their boats on site (by prior arrangement) with many outstanding dive sites accessible from Challaborough Bay with easy launching and recovery off the nearby beach.
 
Management
Cleaning: Chalets are thoroughly cleaned and serviced after guests leave but we do ask that they are left in a reasonable condition and any breakages or faults are reported.
Is bed Linen provided: Yes, bed linen is provided. Bed linen and tea towels are provided.
Are towels provided: No, please bring your own towels.
Are beach towels provided: No, please bring your own beach towels.

Add in good food and wine, friendly country pubs, a wonderful climate, superb walking and countless opportunities for great days out, and it’s easy to see why so many discerning visitors have formed a lasting love affair with this most southerly corner of glorious Devon.

The sheltered horseshoe bay of Challaborough offers its own attractive beach, which has RNLI lifeguard patrols during the peak season and is itself situated next to Bigbury-on-Sea, with Kingsbridge some 8 miles to the east and Plymouth 17 miles to the west. From Easter to the end of October, a small village shop can be found in the bay itself, or just a 10 minute walk away in Bigbury-on-Sea, you will find a Post Office & Store open all year round.

Changeover Day: Chalets are available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated on day of departure by 10am.

A deposit of £150 is requested when booking. The balance is payable 4 weeks before the date of the holiday. The booking is complete only when you receive our offical confirmation.
