Marc and Anne would like to welcome you to our small, friendly, family run Guest House. We offer high quality bed and breakfast accommodation, either en-suite or, with own private facilities. We are close to the bus and train stations and only a few minutes walk from the town centre, heliport and harbour. We are close to, but not on the main road and many guests have commented how quiet our street is.
Penrose Guest House is a Grade II Listed Georgian building approximately two hundred years old, maintaining many of its original features. It is ideally situated for easy access to the town centre with its many shops and restaurants. The nearest sandy beach is only a 10 minute stroll away. We are open all the year round and have full central heating. We operate a non-smoking policy, for health and safety reasons, but smoking is allowed in the garden or under our covered porch.
Guests have access to their rooms at all times and are welcome to relax in our spacious dining room, where there are a selection of books and videos to borrow, as well as games to play. Weather permitting, why not relax in our south facing mature gardens and soak up the sun.

Access and Availability
Changeover DayWe operate a flexible check in policy. Guests can check in anytime on their day of arrival. If the room is not ready, they can collect their key and leave their luggage. Rooms are normally ready by 1.00pm. However, we do like to know time of arrival in advance as we do not have 24 hour reception. Check ins after 9.30pm at night only by prior arrangement. On the day of departure, we ask that guests vacate their rooms by 10.00am. Guests are welcome to leave their luggage, free of charge, for collection later in the day (subject to us not having prior commitments).

Booking Notes
For all bookings we ask for a deposit of one night's applicable room rate where practical.
In the event of cancellation with less than 7 days notice if we are unable to relet the room, this deposit will be non-returnable. If the room is relet, or more than 7 days notice given, the deposit will be returned, less a £3 administration charge.

Prices are per room per night and inclusive of breakfast.
Family room is available to be booked as a twin or double at same rate as en-suite rooms.
Twin en-suite room is available as a Kingsize room for stays of 3 or more nights at a supplement of £2 per night.

We accept payment by cash, cheque (up to £100, supported by cheque card), or sterling travellers cheques as well as most major credit/debit cards.
Please note, we apply a surcharge of 3% on credit card payments, American Express and business cards, excluding payments made for deposit.
There is no surcharge on debit cards or cheque payments.
