SAUMUR 18th Century Farmhouse with Heated Pool. Quite location yet only 3 minutes from the centre of the market town of Doue la Fontaine and 15 minutes from Saumur. Sleeps 6 + cot in 2 doubles bedrooms and a twin room.
The original Farmhouse dates back to the 18th century. A traditional French Longiere has the benefit of very few stairs, only two leading into the bedroom area and three from the kitchen to the dining room. The tiles in the lounge, kitchen and one of the bedrooms are original and unique for the area. In the lounge we have installed a wood burning fire which gives heat and a warm glow on the cooler evenings in spring and winter, comfortably furnished and has TV and videos, hi-fi and CD’s, plus books and games for all ages. The oil fired central heating provides warmth throughout the gite. Anjou has a separate lounge, dining room and kitchen as well as a separate bathroom and toilet. Also two double bedrooms and one twin room. Cot and travel cot, highchair and pushchair are also available on request.
Anjou has its own spacious private lawned garden overlooking the vineyards complete with BBQ, garden furniture, child’s picnic table etc….
The swimming pool is positioned in the top garden which soaks up the sun from morning to evening. There are sun loungers, table & chairs and also a children's unsupervised play area with swings, toddlers slide, climbing rope plus many trikes and other outside children's toys.
Why not try the fruit from our apple, pear, plum and apricot trees or the strawberries and raspberries.
